The muscle psoas-iliac connects our trunk with our lower bodyis made up of two portions: the psoas and the iliacus, which go from the abdominal area (where they connect with the last thoracic vertebra and the first five lumbar vertebrae) to the front of the thigh, reaching the femur. This muscle, together with the gluteus, is the main muscle responsible for the flexion movement of the hip (i.e. the raising of the legs upwards, either unilaterally or separately) and also for the deflection of the trunk.
