Kinesio Taping Basic Course

KINESIO TAPING

Kinesio tapes are elastic bands of cotton and latex that get to stretch up to 130-150% their original length. As a result, if the bandage is applied to a patient with a stretch greater than the normal length, it will recoil after being applied and will create a pulling force on the skin or muscle on which it is applied.
 
This course is suitable for students of Shiatsu and alternative therapies, Shiatsupractors, Osteopaths, Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, Sports Medicine among others.

Historical development of the method: origin and antecedents. Current Concepts. Effects of neuromuscular dressing. Actions of the neuromuscular bandage. Different applications of neuromuscular dressing. Muscle applications. Deltoid. Iliocostal lumbar. Romboides major.Redondo major and minor. Triceps brachii. Brachial biceps. Brachioradial. Supinador.Pronador redondo. Anterior scalene.Eternocleidomastoid. Trapezius (upper and middle). Abdominal rect. External oblique. Median gluteus. Pyramidal (Piriforme). Femoral Quadriceps. Iskytibial. Twins. At the end of the course you will have the necessary knowledge to: • Normalize the function of the muscle. • Improves circulation of blood and lymph. • Relieve muscle pain. • Recovers joint imbalances and improves proprioception.

Aditional information
The student must bring scissors, shorts and tank top in the case of women. This clothing is recommended for the practical part of the course.This course will be totally practical and will have audiovisual support through Powerpoint presentation to promote its understanding. Internships will be conducted among students simulating the therapist-patient role.
